20. it's deja vu's birthday!!

It's the 7th here today, so I might as well write this! Happiest of birthdays to one of the (arguably) most important little guy in my brain: Deja Vu! He started out as an Inside Out OC from 2015, and I've revamped him for a few years...but his 2020 revamp was where it all really began. Here's an (outbound) baby picture of him if you're interested! I really feel like a mom showing off her baby pictures to everyone.. LOOK he and his buddies marked an important change in my life for me ok. His "buddies" appear in the second art in this blog post (Theia and Oliz), both of whom are incredibly important to me too.

I've been really big on OCs in general, though there was a sizable part of my life where I focused on fanart more than OCs. Going back to being mainly an OC artist was a gradual change (and one that didn't even start with Deja Vu), but I'm still glad I got inspired enough by the media I enjoyed to make my own stories. As you may know, I'm currently focusing on two major stories--though I have a LOT of story ideas in the backburner too. I consider LOATM one of the first of my ideas that I had a really solid beginning, middle, and end that I can actually work on, with Deja Vu being a really inspiring and fun protagonist to write for. I'm excited to share more about them but !!!!! AAAAAAA even just thinking about these three makes me so happy with how far they've come, Deja especially. There's really no other feeling like having a little fella that lives in your head rent free 24/7.

Now, on the topic of ocs and such...I really, REALLY need to work on the oc, art and story portions of this site. I realized I keep getting swept up by the other pages (and not to mention the constant change of layouts) that I'm making really slow progress on putting oc info here. Which is really ironic because that was literally supposed to be the main focus of this site: for me to catalogue my ocs and stories in a more personal and streamlined way!! Toyhouse is great, not gonna lie, but man!! I know there's no rush at all with these things, but I still feel bad about neglecting what are supposed to be the main draws of my site. AGGHH.

Not to say I'm excited to work on those next, because I'm getting to the point where I'm done updating the other main site pages, but I really need to start letting things be the way it is. I really couldn't make much progress on the rest of the site if I keep redoing and redoing the layouts...Soon hopefully I can lay these pages to rest and I can finally work on oc and art stuff.
